Don't take me wrong, I am not stating you may or may not have a problem with him, I am simply stating to investigate before condemning him. I do not know him personally, however I have seen him around via other transactions and never seen a problem with him. I emailed you before, it happened to me o...

Telling the truth

You know, I hear and read the same things over and over on here about "lies" that people try to straighten out via emails back and forth from the seller to buyer or buyer to seller. This statement that I found is a good one for you “liars” to remember… “If you tell the truth, you do NOT have to reme...

I mentioned before , I use Fedex Ground for everything. They are awesome and most boxes come delivered with all the corners still sharp which means they do not throw them. Also Fedex Ground works Tuesday through Saturday. I love Saturday delivery at no extra cost. I send about 6 or 8 Yaesu FL-7000's...

I understand, unfortunately there are a "few bad apples" that wreck it for the rest of the honest sellers. The bottom line is, “you reap what you sew”. Those bad sellers will have a consequence in the future and most likely it will be bigger than what they think. Every move in life has a repercussio...

Hi Pat , I must add a comment. "Due to age, sold as is" , is VERY legit. I sold a really old radio that "worked very well" to a guy UNTIL he left it on for 3 days , then it quit. Turns out the power supply dry rot could not take the abuse. He moaned about it. Anyways , I refunded his money just beca...

K3UR , Excellent Guy!

I had a very pleasant transaction with K3UR. I traded him a new Yaesu FT-2000 for two MINT Kenwood TS-870SAT Radios. Both were VERY well packed and exactly as described. He sent them fast as well as kept in contact with me all along until I received them. He always answered his phone when I would ca...

Already had about 20 emails about wiring on the HEIL. I used a Heil CC-1-Y8 cable that connects to my GM-5. Color Code: 1) Red and Blue goes to PTT RCA Jack on the rear (blue to GND side of RCA) 2) Shield and Black to GND side of AUDIO RCA , White is AUDIO to (center) of RCA (use Mic In RCA on the r...

FT-2000 Audio

Talked to Bob Heil yesterday. I could not seem to get that ESSB Wideband sound enabled in my FT-2000 no matter what settings and adjustments I made. Come to find out with the help of Bob and K3UR , the problem is NOT in the radio but where you connect the Microphone input. I am using a HEIL GM-5 in ...

Also, do not forget the obvious. When a seller has a picture of a radio (or ham related item) on a site such as eBay or QTH and the description says “can not test, no antenna” or whatever, but in the background of the picture is a very well put together ham station, you can pretty much guess that th...

Well , after a few weekends of real testing of the Yaesu FT-2000 , I hate to say it , the FT-2000 is going bye-bye. Hands down, the Kenwood TS-870SAT rips the audio to shreds against the FT-2000. The audio output of the TS-870SAT is just flat out un-matchable in any case. Also the front end audio ga...

The guys at cheapham.com are some of the best , I bought a few Heil Goldline GM-5 microphones , stands and cables from them over the years. Greg , just curious , what spacing did he measure BDR and IMD? I am planning on testing (with realistic equipment here at the plant ) at spacing of 1Khz and 5 Khz using twin generators (2 signal approach). Actually for contesting, 500 hz to 1Khz is more realistic however I am not really interested i...

Sure will, so far I love it. It is WAY more than what I expected. It has the $10,000 radio feel to it as well as operation of one. As a matter of fact, see all the FTDX-9000 and IC-7800's for sale? I know a few of the sellers, they went for the FT-2000. If you really think about it, Yaesu has to put...
