Re: Went to far....

I really think that protecting someone is one thing, but bashing a whole race or country is another. I ask myself is this the kind of person I would make a deal with? buy something from....I don't think so. would this be a person I would want to have a rag chew with? I don't think so. If this is a ...

Do you know what service he sent it by? If he sent it by USPS and tried to use the delivery confirmation # as a tracking # as so many people do it won't work.

I have found a tracking number is an absolute must when dealing with the post office. It doesn't cost much and gives me peace of mind to know the package arrived and if it didn't at least I have a way to track it.

Yeah that's deffinetly rediculus to be that impatient. Then to say everybody on QTH rips people off is just unbelieveable. Ron Cummings W5BS fantastic guy

Ron is a top notch fellow in my opinion. Recently I advertised some parts for sale and he responded and I gave him a shipping quote but unfortunately I screwed up the quote and it ended up costing me $14 more to ship it. I sent him an e-mail to let him know the parts were on the way and mentioned th...

Ralph I personally haven't had anything lost in the mail and I've done at least 300 transactions. But I only started buying and selling over the internet about 3-4 yrs. ago and right away I saw where a few guys said that happened to them so when I send something via post office I always spend the ex...

Your welcome Roger.

Good deals are allways great to read about. Glad to see you posting them. I think too many times we forget to post the good deals and only post the bad ones.

It's simple Roger. You're in the right section to do that. In the subject line put the persons call sign and either it was a good deal or bad deal. Then in the text box give a brief description of the transaction.

Just look at some of the other ones here and you'll get the idea.

Not taking sides but here's a suggestion

While I don't agree it's a good thing to say you'll buy something then back out on the deal sometimes things happen. I had to back out on a deal once because I lost my job the very next day after I said I'd buy something from someone. I figured money for food was more important than a hobby item. Th...

Good thing he double wrapped it. I was told by the local UPS drop off center you never put fragile on anything sent through UPS. Just gives them a reason to play football with it or practice with their harpoons.

Re: Deadbeats/Non-Payers

There is no way to publish a list or even search for ham calls in the Feedback Forum if they are never included in the post . The callsign should also appear in the topic. Also, it would probably add credibility if the author would display their callsign. This raises a very good point that I've tho...

I no longer use UPS for radio stuff because the UPS shipping center told me awhile back that it has to be able to survive a 6 foot drop from a conveyor. I don't care how you pack it if it's heavy and it drops 6 foot it's going to do some kind of damage. I still use them for unbreakable stuff like ca...

Nate, Pardon me for saying but your whole story sounds like BS from the beginning. Being 15 years old has no bearing on this at all. We had a group of 14 year olds go through our neighborhood spray painting cars, houses, sidewalks, you name it. My advice to you is stay in school, take your time to ...

I agree with you totally on the spelling issue and as ve3tmt said anyone can overlook spelling on one word. But when a 7 line ad is run together with no capitals, commas, or periods and you have to try to decipher what they are trying to say just forget it. I pass right by. And just as your post was...

Wally I can understand you concern for him not answering your e-mails but as Chuck asked what kind of radios were you testing it with? If it was the typical 2 meter or dual band mobiles they will only draw about 10 amps on high and a power supply will only put out what is required to power the radio...

You can call it nitpicking if you want but when it takes twice as long to read a post because of the terrible spelling and grammer it's not nitpicking. I wonder whay ebay allows them to continue. 73, Mike That's simple. E-bay really only cares about one thing. Making money. as long as Bargain land is selling things E-bay is making money off of them so why shut them down. Nearly 500 negatives this month alone proves E-bay don't care about the consu...

ED, Have you ever heard the expression: "DON'T KICK A MAN WHEN HE IS DOWN?" Isn't it a little harsh to say that someone is "AMAZINGLY IRRESPONSIBLE" ... especially when you are referring to a ham like Adam, who has a truly excellent reputation? I think that Construction Critic is always good. But i...
