We are better than thou....
Those who think that CB'er are in the same league as us HAMs are missing the point. We as HAMs have a much richer vocabulary than those truck driving CB'er. We have : Hi Hi, Fine Business or FB, destinated, 73's or 73rd, OM and.... ah yes...QSL instead of 10-4 to name a few. So as you can see...wezz...

The problem with this....
While it is true that PayPal can shut you down for charging extra to the buyer when using their service. PayPal in my opinion does have the right since they stated in the rule up front. That said..... I personally preffered Postal MO and willing to wait a few days for the money. If the buyer wants c...

Implying is 3/4
He may not use the word but his message is loud and clear. One can hide behind the technicality all day but we all know exactly what that message meant. The intention of the author is obvious, to bring attention to anyone who may be dealing with that individual in a negative light. Implying is 3/4 o...

Men and boys
What is the real reason why anyone of us would go to sites such as QTH? To buy and sell second hand stuff. Anyone disagree with that? So then what is the difference between buying and selling to and from a dealer vs. non-dealer? Who cares what the guy did with his profit? Dealers have a reputation t...

EXAMPLE: KI4KUH. I have asked for information several times, and pictures on the radio and he will not respond. This is what I am talking about. I have sold many radios on QTH and if someone ask for information and pictures, I always respond. Just be carefull How do you know that he is a crook? Not...

To deal or not to deal
Since I never got bit by the HF bug, I eliminate having to read 87% of the ads on any of the ham sites. And you missed about 87% worth of our hobby by not getting on HF. I generally don't do business with anyone from California, Texas, Florida, and a couple of States north of Florida. Seems most of...

Micheal, You got my vote buddy.... for QTH's hall monitor. I too do not think that it is a good thing to use QTH to point to one's auction elswhere. It is simply bad practice IMHO and I never follow the link. Then again I never buy anything on EBay, I only sell my junk there. BTW....your "channel co...

Sold pending funds
There are times when I want to go back and look at an ad I saw a few days prior. With out the "Pending..." I would not know if the ad is purged. I would waste my time trying to find it again somewhere in the pile of hundreds of ads. But if it is "pending...." then I know that I found the intended ad...

Some of us can't read
That's why they put pictures in the owner's manual.
We should come up with icons for these terms like "no trade", "no lowballing"..ect...ect... We have icons for PayPal, Visa.... why can't we have them for "no haggle",,,"suckers beware".....

I have made a few bucks through the years selling on EBay. It is a great place to hock your junk (and I mean JUNK ) for top dollars. I can never have enough praise for EBay as a seller. That said..... I also have one golden rule that I never broke.... NEVER BUY ON EBAY. Yep, I never buy anything fro...

Where's the beef?
As for ridiculously high prices being the sole province of eBay, they've now invaded the fests. At one '06 fest, a vendor was asking $125.00 for a blue glass Arcturus 127. That's more than a the same NIB 127 would NORMALLY sell for on eBay! What's "Arcturus 127"? Sounds like some kind of desease :l...

And then there are guys out there who are selling the empty boxes. Some even listed here on QTH. Now what's up with that? Yeah..... I want the radio so bad that I'm willing to buy the empty box. What about guys who love their gears so much that they feel incomplete without the box  .......

I'm with Ed on this. IMHO it is a very simple process that is laced with theories and conjectures so it is now this never ending thread. If it was me, I would just go after UPS. I can careless what they do to the shipper/s and third, fourth, fifth or how ever many parties involved. The fact remains ...

SCAM reply
Yes it is a scam reply generated by a "bot" to a) harvest your email address for future spams and b) an attempt to scam you out of your "item" and money through one of those "I'm buying this for my client " scam.
Funny how they all have the same bad English replies that stood out like a sore thumb.

Shipping UPS, FDX, DHL.....vs USPS
I noticed that many so called "expert traders" on this board recommend UPS, FDX over the USPS (good ole Post Office) when shipping your goods. While it is true that the private companies have better tracking ability than USPS, but consider this: Shipped your stuff with UPS, FDX....: When you get rip...
