Short control cables for YSK-7800
Seems I saw an ad once on here of someone who will make you any cable....I have an FT-7900R that I want to remote with the YSK-7800 kit, which I have. I only want to remote it about 3 ft and the cable that comes with kit is around 20 ft. Anyone out there can make a SHORT control cable of around 3 ft...

Airlines travel with HAM radio equipment
I am going to be operating as KH6/KN4N during the period 2-6 June 2011. I plan on taking a case with Icom 706, P/S, tuner and a G5RV 41 ft antenna along with a couple wire antrenas W/baluns. Anyone did this as of late? I think the 706 and PS in a carry on case will go OK but the wire antenas and bal...

Well, here is my input to R&L. A couple years back, I needed an item in a hurry for a project, so I ordered COD (cash on delivery). When it arrived via UPS, the driver said he did not take cash, but would take a money order, and he would bring it back next day. So I have a money order, made out to R...

All bands showed output but 75 meters. DEAD. I must have done somthing wrong when I tried to transmit on that ...

They look the same but the 120A has a seal where the rods enters the antenna....suspose to help? keep out water, and is the later mdl. The 120 will fill up with water after a few rain showers, however, a dab of coax seal will help.

A claim was filled, by the shipper, UPS has called me three times, still no refund from the shipper. I may end up also with no it...

Well, I will not buy from R&L any longer. Ordered an item to be shipped COD (CASH ON DELIVERY?) When it arrived, the UPS driver said he was not authorized to take cash....but UPS would take a money order, so, I bought a MO, made it out to UPS and was ready to get my package the next day, right? Well, all I can say about this mess and most of the other hams like him is: The FCC made a B I G mistake with the VEC program and passing the answers out for the test. You think the ham hobby is loaded with bad people, wait until the next sun spot cycle comes up, they will not care what class licens...

Have an FT 100D bought used. Works FB on HF and transmit on VHF but NO RECEIVE.
I have been through the manual several times, looking at the settings....unable to find anything. May be the receiver section on VHF bad. Any ideals anyone?

update on Justin DePoils, KE6IEL
To WA4CCH, Chuck. Chuck, the address I sent the MO to is not the same as listed in FCC database. It went to 6106 Pathfinder Rd Riverside, CA 92504. This may be his work address. I hope he is blocked from using QTH.COM in the future, we do not need people like this on here.
