Received a prompt response from George W4UW concerning my search for some switches. A really nice gentleman and a credit to the amateur community. Thanks George!

600 ft vertical
The Coast Guard has a decommissioned Loran C station in the far west end of the Oklahoma panhandle, about 25 miles west of Boise City, Ok. There is a very nice building, a 600 foot tall top loaded vertical antenna with a radial field of 1/4 mile circle. Some one needs to buy that before they junk it...

Re: Towers and Beams
I wish I were closer to you, not sure what I( would give without looking but I would try and buy it. If I am thinking correctly, you should be able to haul the tower intact on a 30 foot trailer. I would think some of the locals will be calling you soon.

Shipping amplifiers and other valuable heavy items
Amplifiers, heavy like a Alpha 77: We build a plywood box 3/4 inch thick with reinforced corners. Make it large enough to put in stiff foam cutouts to protect all control knobs or a bag with foam that conforms to the equipment. put the amp in a plastic cover and screw the top on the box. The box is ...

KWM2-A
I bought a round emblem KWM-2 and it has the "A" factory kit installed. The case and chassis are both very clean, no dings or scratches and no evidence of smoke. The former owner for some reason had put a push button switch for ptt in the front panel and another switch for something. At any rate I s...
