Re: FT 920 Yaesu ????
I had and still have the 920. Great receiver, and yes, mine is mint. It is very very clean, works great on HRD, digital modes, wonderful audio, transmit and receive. Had the 950 (which now is ceasing production), and got rid of it pronto. Couldn't handle noise effectively, was an okay lower to mid r...

Re: FT 920 Yaesu ????
The 920 some may say is "older" but it is a stellar performer. It has very nice receive audio and transmit audio, great ergonomics, etc. I have never had one with any problems and any time I parted with it, I regretted it. My last radio was a FT-950 which was a dog in dealing with noise. IF DSP did ...

Anyone know Terry, K9TLP, or have had any recent dealings/transactions with him?
Contacted me regarding a want I have but have not received his Phone Number (when requested) so far, seems hard to get in touch with, so a bit confused. Just trying to make sure someone hasn't hi-jacked his callsign.

W9DCS - Possible Scammer - Possible Hi -Jacked Call
I ran into this individual on QRZ (at least the callsign) offering me funds for my item I had listed, which was slightly above what I posted it for. Then requested I go ahead and send the item, and he was good for the funds, just ask W6.. (which I didn't bother). In another email, told me the funds ...

Re: N0YG stole my YAESU FT 950 Transceiver HELP
Well, sent emails to KO7T and no response. Noted that N0YG told me he could get X$ for the 950 and the trade he wanted to do with me, would require additional $ from me...yeah, that ain't happening. Noted that YG never posted that radio for sale either...probably for good reason....

Why is it....
why is it when someone lists something for sale, you contact them about it, to inquire, ask, etc and you never hear back? Why bother posting an item for sale if you don't have the courtesy to even respond to potential buyers/traders? Why not use Ebay and be done with it? I don't get it. Frequently, ...

Anyone have any personal experience with the older FT-ONE? Understand it was quite the "thing" in it's day....
I have a chance to get one cheap and thinking of doing that to help a friend of mine get his old one going.
Just curious as to your experience(s) with this radio......

Deadbeat/Scammer Buyers
Maybe I am the only one, but as of late, like in the past 3 months I have encountered no less than 2 deadbeats or scammers when selling an item and I don't sell that much stuff. Recently, I posted a radio for sale. A KF5OFW contacts me and tells me "I will take it". He further stated he is out of to...

Funny
I recently had a less than $100 item for sale on another website (that for odd reasons, has a lot of scamming activity and high jacking of calls it seems). A KD8 (if need the full call I can post it) answered offering to buy the item. I said okay send me a USPS MO. Week plus goes by and nothing. I s...

Price
For me, if I post a price and state no trades, no low ball offers, price firm, it is just that. Yet, I frequently get the ya hoo that thinks I should donate the item. I had one lid from California, a Tech, respond to a post I have, (I won't post his call here), that contacted me, stated, I will purc...

Usual swap boards. I listed a DSP unit and a guy comes back and states, "Would like to purchase it". IMHO, I don't care much for individuals that waste my time, that truth were known, they have no money to buy anything to start with but communicate to me, can I send more pics, seriously interested, only to never hear a peep again. What a waste of time. If I for one, am interested, I will ask the se...

Stateside Non-QSLers
One thing that miffs me is sending a stateside op (and some are on here) QSLs with SASE, not just once but twice, and never getting a return QSL. Geeze, how hard is it to fill one out, stick the envelope shut (pre sealed strip) and drop in the USPS? I don't get it. I know a couple of ops that have Q...

works all other bands and modes. Going to send it off for repair Before you do that, you might turn the VCO trimmers (think there is one for 40/80). Sometimes they get a bit of corrosion, etc. and spraying them and exercising them, may or may not fix the problem. Worth a check before you spend $300...

I recently encountered a problem getting a part for an old ICOM radio. Ron stepped up, offered me a part off a parts radio he had. Had it now been for Ron radio wouldn't be repaired! Thanks Ron for the gracious offer, mailing it to me, and for the part itself!

I have dealt with a lot of great people on here, and have never before been burned by a money order only person... I guess I am missing something here, but what is wrong with money order payments? Re: IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE PRICE
If you don't like the price just keep reading on to the next ad posted no need to write insults to the seller, if you do expect more of the same in return, at least from me any way. :P I agree with that....unless you (potential buyer) want to make an offer, but to tell someone their price is too hi...
