Yes it is a scam.

The first clue is the line, "Let me know if THIS ITEM is still available..." The scammers are too lazy to identify the item on the first email. There are a lot of other clues as well, as pointed out already.

Stay away! You'll wind up with a bad check and the money gone from your account.

Absolutely a scam

Just Google "Angela's" phone number. You will see how many times she has sent this EXACT email, and it's easy to figure out it is a scam. Generally, when you get an email like this that does NOT refer to the item you posted by name, you need to start poking around on the internet. She uses the exact...

Did anyone notice?

Did anyone notice the buyer offered the tube for sale a hour and a half after his original posting for $140? AND he listed it as a "CPI '96"? Hmmmmm.

He listed it here, on the Feedback Forum under the title "Excellent CPI 3-500Z 96?"

Asking... FIRM!

That one always gets me. "Asking $200 FIRM" is an oxymoron. If you are ASKING $200 that implies you are willing to negotiate. If the price is $200 FIRM, then there is no negotiation. Am I the only person who thinks this? No big deal, just makes me shake my head every time I see it. That is all. 73, ...

Re: A bum buy from WB4PMS

Hey John, I'm sorry you had a problem, but I had a completely different experience with John Flynn, WB4PMS. I bought a display board from him for my TS-120S. John tried to help me fix the radio over the phone BEFORE he would agree to sell me the board, He said he wasn't sure I needed to replace it. ...
