Bad meter, Good seller
You know the feeling when you get your new "toy" and it does not work? Yup it sucks!
But Ed, N3KYA stood behind his meter and all is good.
I would trade with Ed again.
A little communication and we are all happy. Thanks Ed!!

Re: Let's examine this...
Hmmm. Let’s see. A Yaesu FT-101 for $300. That’s $300 divided by $3.99 = about 75 Big Mac hamburgers in today’s dollars. Same $300 at about the 1960 price of a Big Mac = $300 divided by $1.29 = 232 Big Mac hamburgers in “yesterday’s” dollars. That’s 157 hamburgers I don’t get to eat because I have ...

Re: K5MDM's BS
I rarely read this forum...and even more rarely respond to anything in it. However, it was far to hard to hold my tongue in regards to this "spat" over a sour Ham radio equipment transaction. I don't know who is right or wrong on the deal...but I do have some comments. Murray is way out of line cal...

I always use USPS to ship out. I always use delivery confirmation. On most of the shipments the confirmation number does track the shipment, at least to what town the package is in. Maybe this is a fluke. I do admit United Package Smashers does have a better tracking system. At least you'll know whe...

You did not say if it was in ssb, am or fm mode. Check the compressor settings. I'm not sure if your mike has any switches on it , my classic does, try changing them. Is that mike set up to use on that rig? Some are made for specific radios. Is the radio transmitting on the same freq that you are li...

So I got motivated and pulled the ps apart . Now it's been a few years since I took electronics and I don't know every thing (don't tell my wife). But I got a nice tingle off the TOPS of the two 1200uF caps with a reading of158vdc between the two. This does not sound right or do I know less than I t...

I believe it is a switching supply. The noise is from the supply. No I don't have a scope. It varies in intensity, sometimes it stops. I have read of this before in a post on this board, but with no solution. I fiqured I would ask some opinions here before I "fixed" it with a hammer. Thanks for the ...
