I'm a few days late, but let me toss in my 2 cents' worth. If you're trying to buy a fairly common item, such as an IC-7000 or a PROIII, there are plenty of them being advertised for sale these days. Don't let one particular seller get you all worked up. Unless it's something extremely rare just wai...

Yes Marc is a dealer. He seems to pull these bait-and-switch deals all the time. Just check others' feedback about him. Marc tried to do the same thing to me when he agreed to sell me a used Palstar tuner, then when I went to pay him he decided the used tuner had "just" been sold to someone else, bu...

According to www.vanityhq.com, WB8USA belonged to Mary E. Deady of Port Charlotte, FL, from before 1981 until the license expired on 5/5/97. It was next assigned to John T. Shelton of Blue Ash, OH, sometime in 2004. I suspect the other names associated with that call sign are typos.

This is a subject that burns me up. I look for items on QTH.com because I don't want to buy on fleabay. If I want to buy stuff there I'll look there, but don't post here and redirect me there - that's absurd and guarantees I WON'T buy your item! Of course this thread won't stop folks from doing it...

Bob K9RCM Excellent trader!
We recently did an even swap of two radios, and the transaction couldn't have gone more smoothly. You can take K9RCM at his word!

Well Eric it would be nice to see your call sign used Actually Eric gave his call as K9FON a few posts earlier. I think we can all agree that COMMUNICATION is the key in any transaction. Let the other party know what's on your mind. If you got buyer's remorse let the seller know. They would rather ...

Mike WA2VQW Top Notch Seller
I recently bought a lightning arrestor from Mike, and just like past dealings with him, the transaction went smooth as silk. You can't go wrong when you deal with WA2VQW!

I used to use eBay a LOT for both buying and selling. However, since they have instituted so many ridiculous changes in the name of "fairness" and "safety", I will not sell there any longer, and very rarely buy there unless it's something available nowhere else (a highly unlikely situation!) eBay re...

Their service is good but slow
I have had several radios repaired by Mark at International. Living within a reasonable driving distance I usually take my equipment to him in person. I can tell you from experience that Mark does great work, but 2 to 4 weeks turnaround time is definitely not realistic! I've found it usually takes a...

I bought a rig from Mike, KE4KLT, and it's even nicer than I expected! The transaction went smooth as silk and Mike kept me up to date throughout the entire process. I wish all my deals worked out this well!

Great transaction with K4LJP
Wish all my online deals went this smoothly! Lee described his microphones just the way they are, made a fair deal with me and shipped my mic right out. I highly recommend the "Local Junk Peddler"!

Not only does Mike come with your mint Yeasu with tunner, but often the original Manuel comes along. My wife is NOT going to be happy about all these people hanging around in my radio room! My biggest pet peeve is the misuse of apostrophes. An apostrophe signifies possession; i.e., Joe's rig, ...

Robyn Digital 500
Yes indeed, the Robyn Digital 500 is a ham rig. I had one as my first HF transceiver back in the '70s. The one I had worked OK on most of the bands, but a previous owner had butchered the 10 meter PA section, probably trying to convert it to CB. It wouldn't generate more than a hundred milliwatts on...

Mike NC3M Good Seller
Recently I bought a radio from NC3M, which he shipped as soon as I told him I had mailed the payment. I certainly didn't expect that kind of service! The rig arrived well packed and just as he had described. I love it when a transaction goes as smoothly as this - thanks, Mike!

K4JC's First Rule of Hamfesting (or flea markets, yard sales, eBay, etc.): You can ask anything you want, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get it. Second rule: If you think the price is too high, don't buy it! (Unless you're trying to find Hiram Percy Maxim's first transmitter, whatever it is you'...

KJ5SK Great seller
Just bought a radio from John, KJ5SK. Sent him a money order, and I wonder if it even had time to get there before he shipped the radio! When the rig arrived I found it to be every bit as good as John had described, maybe better. This is one ham you can confidently deal with!

N5FJ - Good seller
Recently did a transaction with John, N5FJ, for a radio that he was selling for the estate of a silent key. Shipping was quick, and the radio was VERY well-packed. It is in much better condition than I expected, and works like a champ. As far as I'm concerned you can deal with N5FJ with confidence!
