Re: Just Hams or Businesses in Disguise?
What's interesting is that the W8 mentioned can and does post pictures of some of what he sells. Take a look at the Craigslist ham radio ads for Ocala, Florida and the postings listed under Northwest Marion County. There you will see photos from the W8 of some of what is listed on QTH. You know it i...

I just completed a transaction with KB9SI for a TS-520SE station. He was completely above board and delivered the equipment in mint condition. Very satisfied.

This individual contacted me after I posted a wanted ad for a radio. Something told me to take a look at the scammers forum and there he was at the top of the list. Thanks QTH for saving me some money and grief.

There was an amplifier for sale on this site that was accompanied by the phrase "no way to test". I looked the ham up on QRZ, lo and behold there he was in a picture of his shack. A group of HF rigs and a different amplifier (his) were prominent in the picture. No way to test? I don't think so...act...

New buying criteria
From some recent posts in the feedback forum it looks like we're going to have to be better informed about the sellers we do business with. It seems that we now need to have home and work telephone numbers, verification of employment, to make sure the seller isn't about to be hospitalized and has no...
