My bank now puts an automatic hold on all postal money orders due to some past fraud with them. The branch I use has actuall had two fake postal money orders presented. From now on I will go to the PO to cash them instead of depositing them.

Smells like a duck....
I advertised looking for an SDR-IQ. Got an email from him with a cu/paste of the RFSpace product description from this same guy with a price of $500. I replied I could get a new one for less. His reply was how much would I offer.... This seems somewhat OK but stood the hairs up on my neck. Next stop...

Great transaction with Adam, W4AJF
I posted an ad for a Yaesu 5500 rotor. Adam responded and funds received within a few days. Excellent payment and good communication.
Thanks

I just purchased a Kenwood mic to use with my remoterig setup with a K3. Without asking he sent me a scan of the shipping info and the mic arrived in new condition and very well packed. Thanks Hugo!

WAIT JUST A SECOND
I think his next response would be:
ITEM SOLD AS I RECEIVED IT ...NO KNOWN ISSUES
Just sayin!
Just another unethical creep. One day he will need help for something and find out what goes around comes around.

Misleading ad
Martin,
I am talking about the Flex 5K you got from Jim N.... Excellent condition yes but it had been used. Your ad says UNUSED....not exactly honest. I don't understand the need to be dishonest .....or misleading.....if the gear is in fact in excellent condition.

This is why he should not be trusted...in my opinion...
Martin has tried to defend his positions here but I had to chime in... He presently has a Flex 5000 with ATU and 2nd RX for sale. He states in his ad that it is "unused". I believe this is the very same radio I was going to buy from another ham on the east coast a few weeks ago. I found out he sold ...

bad deal with K3QE
I've known Steve for a number of years now and his word is good as gold. He is one of the most level headed people I know. He told me about the deal before it went bad and I remembered seeing an ad for the radio at $1395. But when I went to look it was gone and a new ad was online for $100 more. I p...

Navy??
I thought "maybe" if he used NFCU he may be active duty Navy. I looked up the name Billy Stone in the NMCI global but no such name exists there. There are some Williams and a Willie but nothing with a FL area code. I was thinking if he was active duty a nice letter to his commanding officer or comma...

Based on all the bad info on this guy he obviously meets the requirements of being a crook. Let him call the police! He's the one who would end up with the short stick.

Reasonable doubt?
DON'T PANIC! IF THIS WAS REAL LIFE AND THE BUYER TOOK YOU TO COURT, HE WOULD HAVE TO PROVE BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT THAT YOU SHIPPED A PIECE OF JUNK. CAN HE? Not true. That is in a criminal court. This would come under civil court and the burden of proof only has to tip the scales showing that one ...

I like that idea of giving them a bogus address. But better yet, give them the address of the fraud department or the PM General....whoever handles these things. Let them send their check directly to them.

Great transaction with Alan Belz - KJ0Y
I have been keeping my eyes open for a SS amp with a good reputation. I saw an ad from Alan for a year old Quadra and we started emailing back and forth including some phone calls. Alan answered all my questions, sent me about 25 pics with excellent detail and provided a great reference. We made the...

Why no callsign? While some of what you say may be true, if it were not for this site and people posting their experiences you would not think that Adam Farber (Hi Adam!) was the only person you could deal with. Truth in advertising

I think the answer most would have to this is that they expect to get an item as advertised. Nothing more, nothing less.

amp packing
Sounds like it may not have been packed well and UPS is not likely to pay a claim. But it also should not be your responsibility. You should send the amp back for a refund and the shipper should file the claim.
