help with a wrl la-1 amp

I found this ham amp sitting on my back porch when i came home from the store. It is a wrl la1 amp, which uses 4 EL-84 finals. I have found 6cn6 tubes at the tube warehouse or somthing close to that. Anyway they are $50. a pair and this unit needs 2 pair. My question is this amp worth spending good ...

I had my rotor at the bottom of my tower. I used chain link top rail bought at local hardware store maybe ace hardware, any way I think i paid $11.00 for a 25 ft. stick. These pipes are swaged on 1 end so they fit together real easy, then drive a tech screw to hold them together. I took 3/4 in. plyw...

As mentioned in my last post, auto tuner in the ts-440s works great with my ocfd-40 but when i try to use my other antenna which is an end fed vertical in a tree this antenna drives my ts-440 nuts. In the past, todo this task with my old alinco dx-70th, i used a short length of 2 conductor wire. I wired a 1/8 inch plug to fit into the key connection on the other end i used a toggle switch to open and close the circuit to run my tuner. This has worked great. Now i have a kenwood ts-440s.
