Not a Cop

For me, this topic is worthwhile. W5KC's link to a rating scale was probably the best thing to come out of it. Simply stated, it makes good sense for all persons participating in the online sales to use terms which have the same meaning. In other words, and as listed in the link provided by W5KC, a ...

Guess I was right

Harumph!!! Guess I was right in pointing out that a car sale was not the point of this topic. Why, cause now that is what is being argued.

A little off the topic

With all due respect, you car experience is not what this topic is about. Nor is it about any particular States laws with respect to commerce occuring within that State only. This is a hamfest that covers all the US States and sometimes foreign buyers/sellers as well. No being an attorney, it seems ...

Great Idea!!!

Thank you W5KC, hope that QTH and other sites can post this useful rating scale and encourage people to use it. In my humble experience some, but not all, people are about 2 to 3 levels high on their items condition rating.

And there ya go

Just logged off ebay having seen a Yaesu FT757 being sold via bid. It was advertised as new new new in poly bag never opened. And there ya go, here is another one showing up on the HF rigs for sale here. How many unopened FT757's can there possibly be on the East Coast?

That Depends

Depends on what resolution the original picture was. The ratio is exactly what people have a problem figuering out. Usually programs that allow you to export a picture for email purposes have a simple strategy for allowing user resizing. Some other ways of doing this involve specifying the resolutio...

I Agree

If you sent a money order via mail and did not get the mds, then I would think the Post Master General would be the one to complain to. If it was a US Postal Money Order that would seem to get more interest from the Post Master.

Sorry you got ripped

Amazing!!! Saw a couple of posts about similar complaints and asked the moderator if a person with negative feedback is allowed to continue posting items for sale. He replied that in this case there were only a couple of complaints and one was from overseas so he did not think it was that bad. Unlik...

Phot Size

To meet this file size you need a 320 by 240 photo. Many photo programs make it easy to resize a file for emailing. I know my iPhoto is easy (don't laugh I also have the old Windows XP stuff). Possibly someone should post a couple of programs which simplify this task for users here. I think the free...

Mint

Possibly they are on a tight budget and need to get every penny out of their investment, I can understand that. But I suspect some people use it as a phrase to attract buyers, relying on the ambiguity of the word "mint" to work in their favor. To me, MINT means as it came new from the factory. That ...

Web site to check out

Try looking under the equipment reviews on www.eham.net

Have had neither rig, but have noticed that Yeasu has had some bad postings on reliability of their newer rigs. Might want to check it out.

Advice on Kenwood 570D (g) or outboard processor for NR

:?: Have had a Kenwood 570D but was not happy with DSP noise reduction on SSB. Alinco DX77t with JPS nir 10 worked to my satisfaction on SSB. Has anyone had to opportunity to compare the 570D (g) with the vintage outboard processors like JPS? What bothered me on the original kenwood was the pumping ...
